I don't think they sold any under the Squier brand, only Fender-labelled. The Jazz Bass Special comes to mind, a P with a Jazz neck and PJ pickups, but those were made well before the Silver Series.

Ah true. Ideally would be looking for a Jazz width neck though. Not sure the width on those P basses.

I think the bass you are referring to was called the Squier Standard Precision Bass Special.  Quite well thought of and have a mini following.

No, ignore me not MIJ/CIJ.  Now I think about it I'm pretty sure that the Silver Series basses were last Squiers MIJ.

Vista Series (guitars not basses) I think.

 

Venus and Supersonic 

 

(think the music master basses were Chinese?)
