Hand made with a router location hole, of course 😂

It's about as Irish as as bowl of Lucky Charms but the Americans do love some shillelaghs, shamrocks and top o' the mornin' shenanigans. Even so, they'll want to have the luck o' the quare fella to get a grand for a bitsa P, to be sure, to be sure.

Never underestimate the potential for some visionary to look at a perfectly good cheapo P copy and think - "I know what would improve that!"

I'd think it likely a strong cocktail of alcohol & incompetence was behind this particular lightbulb moment.

Also "Neckplate? We don' need no steenkin' neckplate!"

Never forget, it looks like two instruments were sacrificed so the monster could live. That glued-on headstock appendage probably lived a noble life on a different instrument before the decapitation.

I like the frets... they look OK.

On the whole those budget Chinese-made paddle-headstock necks tend to be pretty decent for the money, yes.

Certainly their last good album...

And, well, that greeny thing in front makes me want to ... 🤢 🤮.

I came here expecting to see a nice Emerald acoustic bass, or perhaps an old Chris Larkin.

What I have now seen cannot be unseen. :S
