Personally..not for me but I probably would go for a Brian May signature telescope.

I'd go for Brian May signature hair curler instead

It seem to appear that some rockstars are desperate to top up their pension. That bass is revolting!

Who knows what he does with the extra coin? Surely he doesn't need it to keep up the house what with Queen even split royalties pouring in.

I hear that this bass comes with a special tuner that has Anita Dobson singing the Eastenders theme tune when you switch it on.

I can't wait to get the EB Joe Dart coffee pot and coaster set. It features Joe's jocular gait on each piece, holding a thumb aloft with an emanating word bubble exclaiming "Only me!"

I like it!

I don't like the price tag though. I wouldn't pay £900 for it. If it was priced at around £300 it might be tempting.

To be fair, I'm fine with most basses that aren't generic, bland Fender shaped.

Might have bunged a bit towards the James Webb telescope.

I won’t be queuing to with tenners clenched in my hand to buy one but at least it’s based around a guitar he owns and designed around a shape  which is unique to him.

The one that got me was when Martin issued the George Martin signature acoustic guitar… yes THAT George Martin the famous finger picker from The Beatles… hmmm…

Looks pants as a bass.

Plus there's no hope in hell of it balancing.

Scale length is quite interesting though.

I'd have thought that with a mahogany body it would probably balance pretty well.

Scale length is, concidently, exactly the same as my first (& only) home built bass.

I quite like the look of it, can't really see what the negativity is about.

It has a Ripper/Grabber vibe about it which I think is cool.

Price is a bit steep but only time will tell if it's priced wrong.

I'm do agree though that bass playing Queen fans will surely go for a looky-likey P bass, or Stingray.

I think it’s a nice eb3/SG Bass alternative.

My daughter is Brian May mad…and plays a bit of bass.

at £900 or £600 used - it’s just a bit of a stretch for her to mess about on…currently

Having never played any gibson style EB type basses I'm quite intrigued by the pickups on the BM sig.

At least they didn't just plonk a couple of J pickups or a split P in that body shape.

The upper horn needs to be over the 12th fret for it to sit properly for a start.
