Lozz196
So I`m after a fairly neutral sounding preamp/DI pedal. Has to: Be able to be switched on/off and sound still come from the instrument (unlike my Ashdown OriginAl which is either on or no sound). Run on batteries. And ideally have high frequencies no lower than 5kHz. So what`s out there, Tech21 gear as much as I love it is too "flavoured" on the sound, MXR M80 & TC Spectradrive weren`t to my liking. E sharp
Tech 21 Q strip isn’t flavoured at all. I had one for a bit (as I have many pedals), and only sold it as I didn’t really need it. It’s like a recording console string in pedal format really. Loads of YouTube clips with these
Supernaut
MXR M81 fits the bill.

Thanks for the tip, I got one today, first impressions are good, eq points seem to replicate what my Ashdown amps do quite well, plus on-board tuner makes for a good all in one pedal.
