Old Horse Murphy Posted December 29, 2021 Posted December 29, 2021 (edited) I've been pondering this thread for quite a while now and I'm pretty certain Level 42 is before Level 43. Following the same logic it's after Level 41. Edited December 29, 2021 by Old Horse Murphy 2 Quote

He was a professional accordion player and Macari’s were purveyors of said squeeze box, right up to the end IIRC. That was Lionel Macari, here he is on the cover of his 373rd album... 2 Quote

Just as an aside the number four player in this picture is Bob Upandown who, after suffering a career ending leg injury, went on to be Cardinal Robert Upandown The Venerable Cloister of Naseby until his unfortunate demise in an incredibly slow road traffic accident outside Penge. 1 2 Quote

Bridgehouse Posted December 29, 2021 Posted December 29, 2021 I think I finally understand. This thread is about grammar. Go back and check the title - Level 42 before Level42… It’s clear as daylight now - it is only correct to use “Level 42” and not “Level42” I blame all of those people doing the Macarena in Denmark. 1 1 3 Quote

Frank Blank Posted December 29, 2021 Posted December 29, 2021 Much as I have enjoyed this tiny bauble of distraction during my 48hr pass it is time to return to barracks at the DOI. Do enjoy your taped up thumbs and recalcitrant commas. 2 Quote

No, it's not about grammar, it's about the collating sequence. In a phone book, "Level 42" would come before "Level42" as space comes before 4. Quote

Steve Browning Posted December 29, 2021 Posted December 29, 2021 If we're talking defence contractors. As a VAT man I once visited Wayne Kerr plc at their factory in Bognor Regis. I kid you not. 2 Quote
drTStingray Posted December 29, 2021 Posted December 29, 2021 Gentlemen, aren’t we a bit thread off topic? Where is @Bean9seventy when you need him? 😏😀 Unless Mark King or Boon Gould or someone worked at Macaroni, Chelmsford before Denmark St 😏 This thread has got me watching Level 42 videos on You Tube again - some great recent stuff around - nice lively Jaydee Supernatural bass - just as it should be 😀 Quote
