Grahambythesea Posted December 25, 2021 Posted December 25, 2021 I bought this sweater in M&S and I reckon this is a Musicman Cutlass. Any other ideas, it can’t be a guitar, neck is too long. Quote
Silvia Bluejay Posted December 25, 2021 Posted December 25, 2021 No, if it's only got three strings it's an old-style double bass. 😱 1 1 Quote
Hellzero Posted December 25, 2021 Posted December 25, 2021 Looks like the real Tony Levin Signature MusicMan. Beware, it can burn in the barn spontaneously. 1 Quote
Teebs Posted December 25, 2021 Posted December 25, 2021 I think it's a Ford Cortina Mk II. Definitive. 2 Quote
AndyTravis Posted December 26, 2021 Posted December 26, 2021 (edited) If it was headless…would it need double bauble end strings? anyone? No? too much merriment 😔 Edited December 26, 2021 by AndyTravis Quote
NikNik Posted December 26, 2021 Posted December 26, 2021 3-string, small Strat-bodied bass with Fender Performer neck. Once played by Danish bass-hero Stig Petersen for one song at Roskilde Festival, 1998. 1 Quote
pete.young Posted December 26, 2021 Posted December 26, 2021 It's a Brian May Signature. Or a load of baubles. Or both. Quote
Bassassin Posted December 26, 2021 Posted December 26, 2021 Can't tell much from that pic. Close-ups of the back of the headstock, neckplate, control cavity/neck pocket, also any markings under the pickups and on the electronics would help. I am a bit concerned it might turn out to be a recent Chinese copy - hope you didn't pay over the odds. 1 Quote
Dan Dare Posted December 26, 2021 Posted December 26, 2021 I'd say it's a Jackson. A 3 rather than a 5 from the look of it 😉 Quote
Maude Posted December 26, 2021 Posted December 26, 2021 I like it. Made from hand selected tonewool, and once you've dropped your toast down it it'll play like butter! 1 2 Quote
