Chaosanator Posted December 26, 2021 Posted December 26, 2021 Does anyone here have tips for playing an electric guitar through the Fender rumble studio 40? I have an electric guitar that I play infrequently, perhaps once a year. I'm thinking of selling the guitar amp because it takes up valuable space. Could I get a reasonable tone if I plugged into the rumble studio 40? It would only be to play at home along to some music, most likely heavy metal. 🤘 Does anyone have any recommendations or presets for playing guitar through the studio 40? Quote
BillyBass Posted December 27, 2021 Posted December 27, 2021 Playing guitar through a bass amp is fine, you will get a perfectly reasonable clean tone. Bass amps differ from guitar amps in a few ways but mainly in their ability to deliver large amounts of clean power. If you want gainy guitar sounds out of a bass amp you need pedals. I don't have a studio 40 so I can't help there. Quote
Tubster Posted December 28, 2021 Posted December 28, 2021 My friend bought a 40 for use with his Gibson ES175; sounded great. I believe Studio 40 offers lots of presets and effects = a world of fun ! Go for it, nothing to lose. 1 Quote
