Old Horse Murphy Posted January 2, 2022 Share Posted January 2, 2022 (edited) So I had 2 basses and a guitar arrive in 31st, just in the nick of time to count as 2021 purchases. 2021 was a lost cause in terms of GAS so I figured sneaking a few more in wouldn't really matter. On the plus side, I also sold a bass the same day. I also paid for a bass from EBay on the 30th that's due to arrive early next week, but according to the rules that's all okay 😂 All in, I'm still down in terms of number of instruments and well up on the amount I recouped from selling vs. what I spent, which by some twisted logic makes me a good boy. gapiro Posted January 3, 2022 Share Posted January 3, 2022 I’ll join. no new bass specific gear for me the only two thing that may cause a fail is if I save some money for some new IEMS (using the cheapo kZ ones atm ) Or an iem wireless pack (wedding stuff I’m always wired in iem) anything else I buy this year is gonna be replacements etc for the band. Richard R Posted January 3, 2022 Share Posted January 3, 2022 Last year's rules were anything in the signal chain, excluding consumables such as strings, and so excluded straps, gigbags etc. Not sure where non-bass purchases such as MIDI keyboards, or things like PA gear and IEM headphones sat. I don't intend to buy any basses this year, but could be tempted by some decent IEMs if I manage to play live more. Or a tenor-sized bass Uke like the one at the Midlands Bass Bash. Or a....?
