Graham Posted December 29, 2021 Posted December 29, 2021 Hi all, I'm trying to record using both channels of my Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 into Reaper, where channel 1 is through my EBS pre-amp and channel 2 is a complete dry DI from the link output of the pedal. The trouble I'm having is when I use both channels and set the tracks in Reaper to the respective inputs on the interface they pan left and right, whereas I want them both mono. Reason being I want to record with the EBS to get the sort of tone I like, but also want to give the songwriter options for re-amping when mixing, should he want something different. I've tried mucking about with the panning in Reaper, but a) that didn't seem to work for channel 2 and b) it feels like this must be a common issue with a simple solution I've not found yet. Thanks all Quote
BigRedX Posted December 29, 2021 Posted December 29, 2021 I don't know about Reaper, but in Logic you sort this out by making each track mono and then assigning the appropriate audio interface input to each channel. 1 Quote

Ah! I've found an input setting called "force mono" that seems to have done it, thanks 2 Quote
Dood Posted December 29, 2021 Posted December 29, 2021 (edited) Go to the track channel and use the drop down menu shown. You can select a mono input there and what input number is being sent to that track. In my example I have selected Input 1 to record on to Track 1. Edited December 29, 2021 by Dood 3 Quote
