Carlton P-Bass

I bought this ‘Carlton’ P-Bass yesterday. Just wanted something to muck about on.

I can’t find anything about on the internet about who manufactured  this? I’m assuming it’s a copy.

I removed the pick guard to have look inside as I knew it wasn't working.

multi meter says the pickups are fine and it looks like the volume pot is knackered according to multi meter.

the wiring is quite different to most diagrams I have compared it against with the pick-up wires attaching to the tone pot initially rather than the volume pot.

the pick up wires are red and blue (which appears to be unusual) and I ‘think’ the blue is the hot wire and the red the ground.

im going to replace the pots and Jack anyway.

just wondered if anyone knew anything more about Carlton??
