If you want to zinggg, want to thunder, want clarity and definition, want this all at the same time and want it to last.... you gotta use DR strings.

Overwater Nickel Roundwound Medium Gauge, seem to work just fine for me... however maybe it's time I tried some of these DR's, they seem to be very popular :)

Elite Stadiums but I've not really tried many brands.

Loads of people raved about how good the Roberts strings were for the money so I might give them a try.

Used to swear by Ernie Ball Hybrids, but took a punt before Christmas on a three-pack of Hartke nickle plated 45-105's off the 'bay & have never looked back. Various sellers, but there's usually someone flogging them for about £18 inc postage - 6 quid a set? Yes Please.

Pete.

Usually use d'addario XL nickels, trying out some Thomastik superalloys but I might switch to flats or something I know to be less ringy/zingy, as the G&L is very aggressive sounding.
