Wow. 2022 is off to a flying start - two racially abusive threads already.

Come on people, we're better than this.

Given that I detect no irony in your post, you're actually saying the OP is 'racially abusive'? How so?

They're actually quite clever.  After all they just (so far) successfully made a world class telescope out of lego, string and cling film

Don't understand the thread title.

Brits regularly show similar levels of stupidity.

Like the usual "All Americans are fat" jibe.

Brits are right up there with them now.

Back to the lawsuit -  how was the baby exploited ?  Surely the parents gave permission, in which case the grown baby is just after some easy dollars.

Glad it was rejected.  Nobhead

The guy has milked this all of his life and then obviously thought I can make some money here. If he should be suing anyone surely it would be his parents.

well I suppose it's racist against Americans, if the same thing had been said about, say, West Indians all hell would break loose

I suppose it's how you define race, are the West Indians a race? or are they Black Africans? I not sure, I'm not being woke here btw, I get offended by people being offended, just trying to point out double standards

He claimed it was child sex abuse and akin to child pornography and suffered for years because of it.

Thrown out on two counts:

1. Statue of limitations had expired.

2. Claims of psychological damage were spurious.

The judge also ruled that since practically everyone in the world had viewed the image and no one else has ever raised an issue, it couldn't possibly be now ruled as a pornographic image.

You can't really say all Americans are dim anyway.

Like the UK, it's only actually about 50 percent.

It's about 80% if you subscribe to the Pareto Principle, which I'm finding increasingly accurate as I grow older.

It's usually how the law defines protected characteristic. Being American isn't one of them but discriminating against someone based on their nationality is.

I know it worries me how fragile and delicate people are these days. How quick they are to throw themselves to the floor in a faux fit of tears and persecution.

How does the fat ginger kid survive in a class room these days?)

I love them septics. They gave us 50% of Laurel and Hardy. Even better 100% of Harold Lloyd.

Ok they have spawned Marjorie Taylor Greene but hey yin-yang, snakes and ladders and all that.

Anyway what numpty lead with such a provocative title? sigh.

People have always been fragile and delicate. Just nowadays we don't expect them to have to endure years of name calling, bullying and repression...

The only people I see being 'offended' are those who aren't the actual people being jokingly mentioned... 🙄
