MEC Electronics installation: advice required.

I have these MEC electronics, from a Warwick Streamer Stage II, that I would like to put in another bass.

Thing is, I’m not so knowledgeable with electronics, and there are a few loose wires to consider.

Can anyone here advise me what the various connections are?

Am I correct to assume that the two short black and red wires at the bottom are the battery connection, the longer red one is an earth connection, and that the loose brown wire has become disconnected from pot ‘D’?

Also, what do the various pots control? Pot ‘C’ is (active/passive switching) volume on the upper concentric pot. The lower has a detent. Is that pickup blend then, with the other 3 being the 3-band EQ?

If so, which is which (B/M/T)?

Your advice would be most appreciated.

  • Fionn changed the title to MEC Electronics installation: advice required.

Using this as a reference (https://shop.warwick.de/en/pickups/accessories-parts/bass-electronics/19979/mec-warwick-streamer-fna-jazzman-3-way-electronics), I'd deduce the following:

Pot B is treble

Pot A is mid

Pot D is bass (the brown wire goes to the spare tag on the pot)

The red and black wires from the white connector go to battery +/- (not sure what the other red wire is)

The loose purple/black/white wires go the jack

The MEC 3-band pic below has a different preamp board to yours, but the wiring colours are most likely the same.
