Jamesk86
Hey guys, I'm thinking of setting up a recording station at home but need some help on finding a decnet sound card for recording. Can anyone point me in the right direction of a website (uk based) which sells decent sound cards for recording or give me some makes that I can research myself. Looking for low to moderate prices nothing extreme, just something which will do the job!! cheers!!

escholl
how many tracks do you need recording at once?
peted
If you only need to record one instrument at a time, then the Zoom H4 is a very versatile piece of kit. You can plug it into your PC and turn it into an external soundcard. If you don't mind recording at a slightly lesser quality (44.1KHz) then it also allows you to add effects and amp models when recording. Comes bundled with a copy of Cubase LE. It is also a standalone 4 track recorder in it's own right, so you don't necessarily need a computer to do multi-track recording with it. steve-soar
Do you use a PC, or a laptop? I have an EMU 1212 with Cubase and loads of other software that I may be selling. This is a sound card, well 2, that fit inside your PC, with zero latency.
