Translucent Sonic Blue w/ tort & Chrome

vs

Translucent Red w/ white, black/gold

I'm leaning towards the blue finish as I think it's more unique. Or is that red just too good?!

Going to be gloss finish with birdseye-maple and dots + matching headstock

I'd go with the red, never been much of a fan of the sky/duck egg blues unless you're in a 50's Rock n Roll show.

Also, that's a fine looking trans red.

I'd prefer the blue, if it was a solid colour. Doesn't work for me in a translucent finish. Red wins this one!

what will the body be made of ? if ash then grain could be highlighted during grain fill/base

old Fender (US 50s car colours) paints have a lot of white in them, but there are other blues (VW medium blue for example as per my avatar) which have more black in them

Natural. But the red looks more striking than the blue, which looks nearly as dull as Olympic White (which, let's face it, is White).

My vote went purely because I don't like maple and tort together. Also I bet that delicate blue will half the time look simply washed out

The blue, but with the ivory pearl.

No contest... RED

I have a similar blue Strat. Poor thing rarely sees the light of day. Not only does it have too many strings, but that blue truly makes it the runt of the litter🤢
