Lozz196 Posted January 9, 2022 Posted January 9, 2022 Hot dang Billy-Bob, tie it to the pickup truck and drag it around town a while 4
Maude Posted January 9, 2022 Posted January 9, 2022 Maybe I'm being dumb here (it has been known) but it reminds me of a Jamaican flag just as much as a Confederate flag. 1

It's just a poor attempt at a Confederate flag. If you want to go down that route, surely put some effort in to space the stars correctly, even if you can't do the colours. 2
Clarky Posted January 9, 2022 Author Posted January 9, 2022 Regardless of the accuracy, I think the intention is obvious. If I had a bass shop in London, there is no way I would retail this 8

Lozz196 Posted January 9, 2022 Posted January 9, 2022 Must admit Klan Basses just doesn’t sound right 1 1
Lfalex v1.1 Posted January 9, 2022 Posted January 9, 2022 It's okay, really. Knowing the gallery, it's probably been sold for at least 18 months now and they haven't realised, much less amended their site to reflect the fact. 🙄 8

lemmywinks Posted January 9, 2022 Posted January 9, 2022 I'm sure the future owner will be delighted when their sister-aunt buys them that bass for their birthday. 8
Eldon Tyrell Posted January 9, 2022 Posted January 9, 2022 That is indeed a weird one. Who is behind Fat/Phat (that's how it is spelled on the control cavity cover) Bottom Guitars? Did you notice the Fender neck plate? Don't think they will be overly happy with it (unless Phat Bottom Guitars is owned by Fender?)
wateroftyne Posted January 9, 2022 Posted January 9, 2022 The (mis)alignment of the stars is another reason to make me want to smash it to pieces. 3
AndyTravis Posted January 9, 2022 Posted January 9, 2022 It’s a fender dimension (mk1) with a funny wood top. knew I recognised the silhouette… 1
LeftyJ Posted January 9, 2022 Posted January 9, 2022 We all know what the true confederate flag looks like though. 2 7
Pea Turgh Posted January 9, 2022 Posted January 9, 2022 There’s no info on Google, other than a reference to a Jazz bass, by someone called Lex Luthier in Hertfordshire.
lemmywinks Posted January 9, 2022 Posted January 9, 2022 Didn't we have a poster on here who tried to tell us all the confederacy was motivated by economics and totally not about owning humans? 1
Clarky Posted January 9, 2022 Author Posted January 9, 2022 I googled also. This is the only reference I found. No idea if its this guy but he is based in Texas and says he is a luthier ....

Possibly, but in some off topic thread I didn’t read... - but I don’t get the point of your post tbh - if an economy is dependent on slave labour then it is a both/and situation rather than a either/or…

Similar to holocaust denial, evolution denial and flat earthers they have a lot of "evidence" they can present for those who struggle processing information. 1
