andyneeds Posted January 10, 2022 Posted January 10, 2022 (edited) Up for sale is my 1994/95 Made in Japan Fender Precision bass, I bought this in 2018 from Bass Direct & it has only been gigged a few times & mainly used for home practice. Itās in amazing condition for the age with just very light scratches & no dents or scrapes - the nut width is 41mm ( ive just measured it) & on the bath scales it weighs 9 pounds - (although not the most accurate way to measure) I swapped the pāups for Seymour Duncan SPB1 vintage which cost around 90 quid - no case or gig bag included so looking to sell at same price I bought for - think I have the original pāups somewhere but the spbās sound great ( much better) Welcome to come & try it out - collection is preferred or happy to meet half way within reason- here to answer any questions cheers Edited January 17, 2022 by andyneeds Added photos 12
Bassistclem Posted January 10, 2022 Posted January 10, 2022 Nice. Think the Japanese P basses has an ever so slightly narrower nut width compared to most USA models, which I like. Although obv there was some variation over the years. Was about to spring for a 93 Japan Squier bass but this is a decent price. I'll have to see if I can find more funds before it sells. I'll keep an eye on it, I'm not far away in York btw 1
andyneeds Posted January 10, 2022 Author Posted January 10, 2022 (edited) Yeah, itās a great bass - I tried it against every p bass BD had in stock & this one played /felt & sounded the best ( to me )- even up against US pās & a 60ās original - the SPBās give it that fab vintage vibeĀ cheers Andy Edited January 10, 2022 by andyneeds
