fleabag Posted January 15, 2022 Posted January 15, 2022 All pups are Dimarzio Area J's apparently. Apparently he's checking the tone difference in diiferent positions, rather than demoing Dimarzios Not sure how useful this is, as its just one make of pickup , but hey. Choose your poison - i'm probably weird but all 5 on was my top choice, even though this is not a real life likely setup. 1 Quote

Guest Posted January 16, 2022 Posted January 16, 2022 It’s an extension of system like the MM Big Al, with individual switching system, just with a lot more combinations. TBH I’m quite surprised at just how different the settings sounded - I heard at least 6 very usable sounds and I love the versatility of my Big Al. I guess the market for something like this is non-existent, given that apparently all any bass player needs is a P bass Quote
fleabag Posted January 16, 2022 Author Posted January 16, 2022 I owned a P bass once and threw it in a skip Quote

The Burning Earth Lakland was originally equipped with 6 Chi-Sonic singlecoils, oddly enough with just 5 (hidden) on/off switches. In the picture above it appears to have Bartolini J's, and I can only see one miniswitch. No idea what it does and how the pickups are controlled! 1 Quote
fleabag Posted January 17, 2022 Author Posted January 17, 2022 I prefer the look of the Lak, apart from that it's a 5 banger Quote
