dave_bass5 Posted January 17, 2022 Posted January 17, 2022 Just come across their version of this song. Way to use a set of plastic pipes. Preceded by a bit of Ozzy. 4 Quote
Nail Soup Posted January 17, 2022 Posted January 17, 2022 It's a joint effort between Blue man Group and another band - Venus Hum. I can work out for myself that the blue-face people are in BMG and the singer is from VH. Does anyone have any idea if the drums and guitarists etc are with BMG or ?VH??? Quote
Nail Soup Posted January 17, 2022 Posted January 17, 2022 Great version by the way (but someone did already post it in "what are you listening to" thread in the last few weeks) Quote
Newfoundfreedom Posted January 17, 2022 Posted January 17, 2022 Musically great. But the Blue Man Group are far more impressive on their own, without a backing band. 1 Quote

I saw them in Florida a few years ago and they were very impressive. Obviously they use gimmicks and other musicians, but the cover versions they do are very interesting. You really need to be there to appreciate full BMG sound. 1 Quote

Lo-E Posted January 17, 2022 Posted January 17, 2022 I’m not sure what their productions entail in other cities but the original production in NYC is comprised of the Blue Men (all accomplished percussionists) and a backing trio of multi-instrumentalists playing trap kit, keys, guitar and Chapman Stick. Both the cast members and band members rotate between the various productions to keep the chemistry between them fresh and keep it from getting too repetitive and boring. They all seem to genuinely enjoy it. I’m not sure if the original three Blue Men are performing the show at all anymore. Quote
