iconic Posted January 18, 2022 Posted January 18, 2022 (edited) So this was originally in Am...tweaked to a major key... To make this into a major key... Do I transpose to it's relative major? So Am becomes C, every chord is bumped up by a minor third, three half steps. Theory isn't my strong point so please be gentle😀 Edited January 18, 2022 by iconic Quote
Daz39 Posted January 18, 2022 Posted January 18, 2022 Y’see ; a theory-blind person like me would just say put it in A. 1 Quote

Theory isn't my strong point so please be gentle😀 Expand It sounds like it's simply put it in to a major version of the same key, rather than go to the relative major. In the original the first 2 verse chords are Am and Em, and they have been shifted to A and E. Of course, you could go to the relative major, but that is going to make the song quite a bit higher in pitch and change the whole tonal centre. 1 Quote
