Ajoten
I can't find any, apart from the Les Paul JR DC. Add the J at the bridge and options open up... although in my case I want as few knobs as possible coz ain't got bwain for EQ and tweaking. I'm not opposed to P-basses in the slightest, am just sure I'm missing something. Especially given the not-broken-don't-fix-it ubiquity of Precisions. It's almost like noone dare compete. Supernaut
Yamaha BB? Sandberg VS?
Hellzero
MusicMan SUB or OLP. And many luthiers basses.
Ajoten
Sandberg is active I believe. No single pickup BB that I can see, PJ only. SUBs are active. OLP no longer available.
Hellzero
Here's all you can get by Thomann, use their filters... https://www.thomann.de/gb/misc_4_string_basses.html?feature-45023[]=H&feature-8509[]=Passive&oa=pra&gk=GIEBS4&filter=true And short scale basses too : https://www.thomann.de/gb/short_scale_basses.html?feature-45072[]=H&feature-45072[]=J&feature-45072[]=S&feature-45073[]=Passive&oa=pra&gk=GIEBSC&filter=true
Hellzero
And the original American MusicMan SUB's were passive. Edited January 19, 2022 by Hellzero Plural
Rumple
Wilcock B90, a slight nod towards the old Shergold Marathon, not sure how readily available they are though.
BigRedX
When you say "non-precision" do you mean the body shape or the presence of a single P-style split humbucker pickup?

Musicman do 2 The Joe Dart - just a volume control Mike Herrera (that has 3 knobs but they are dummies)
fretmeister
The Sandberg Basic is active, but it has a bypass and one of the knobs turns into a normal tone control when in bypass. It's a very good system.
Hellzero
Maruszczyk and Messinger have their own affordable custom shop. Here is their configurator : https://www.public-peace.de/custom-shop Don't forget to check the luthiers, they are not always ultra expensive. neepheid
Of course they exist - you don't make any mention of budget or anything so for non Precision, single pickup, passive, available new basses: Epiphone Jack Casady G&L Kiloton (Tribute version also available) G&L CLF L-1000 You also don't mention scale, so shorties include Fender Mustang G&L Fallout (Tribute version also available) Guild Starfire I Gibson Les Paul JR DC which you already mentioned. There are bound to be countless others.
uk_lefty
Aria SB series, most of those were passive one pickup basses. They sound great too. The previously mentioned Epiphone Jack Casady is a fantastic bass. There's tons of them.
pete.young
The Duesenberg Star or Starplayer was available in a single pickup version. Not sure if it still is.

Munurmunuh
G+L L-1000 is passive tho perhaps a bit knobby? Humbucker in the P spot. Their Kiloton is humbucker in the Stingray spot, J width neck, and available in the much cheaper Tribute range

jd56hawk
You won't find better than this. Passive but very potent. G&L is always the answer. Edited January 21, 2022 by jd56hawk
Owno
Most Serek basses, such as this Midwestern with a bisonic pickup. They make 30, 32 and 34’ scale basses.
