It escapes me as to why would Fender use long scale strings - hence the pricing since the strings roll around the post.

 

These are stable and do have plenty of life, structurally sound - gauge is 45-100. Posting on top, cut for Mustang, 4 in line with two laps around the post, silk in good shape.
