seanobrien
I have a set of Seymour Duncan bassline pickups that I took out of a fender jazz 24 many moons ago. Just wondering if they would be a big improvement on the stock sire pickups. Would love a bit more jaco burp on the bridge pickup, so wondering if the basslines would do this and any other difference in tone they could give. Thanks. fleabag
I had the early Sire a while ago, and didnt get on with the tone, so i tried Barts and it didnt improve ( not for my taste anyways ) so it's probably the preamp. Thats just my take, and other owners / modders will have a different experience
fleabag
I speak with forked tongue. Just realised mine was one of the early V7 MM jobs. Still, the rest of the above still counts

lemmywinks
Any J pickup with that voicing will get you there, if your SD is an Antiquity or SJB-1 then you're sorted.
