Polytone are an American amp manufacturer that seems to be mainly used by jazz guys.

Lots of jazz guitarists used to use them, though I don't know how popular they are these days.

They were always very highly regarded & seen as pretty high end kit back in the day.

Yeh,they were big on the Jazz scene back in the late '80s/'90s. A bass playing mate had one.

This is the more versatile unit. This is what my mate had. I think he paid £500 for it back then.
