String Thru High Mass Bridge

Recently bought a bass with a high mass bridge, the problem is I’m struggling to intonate it and to lower the action.

 

To get the intonation (almost) right I had to cut down the saddle length screws and springs to get them to come back enough and I get set the action lower as if I loosen the saddle grub screws any further they just come loose.

 

I’ve been looking for others but it also has a string thru config and they seem quite rare.

 

Does anyone know if any good ones exist?

The Badass III is string-through.

 

Is adding a small shim to the neck an option? It'll give you a bit of leverage regarding the action.

Can you post a pic of it? I was about to recommend one but then it occurred to me that it might be the one you already have.
