No load tone pot Vs TBX tone control for brightening tone

Am after brightening up the tone on my P bass, have put some brighter strings on there but after a little more, am wondering what my best bet is for this , no load tone pot or TBX tone pot ? Thanks

Put a battery powered preamp to the cavity. The slight increase in the tone by bypassing the high impedance circuitry will not be enough for you.

If that doesn't solve the issue, the next step is to put another pickup to the bridge position.
