Jean-Luc Pickguard
I don't even like this kind of bass but even I know I ringer when I see one. I reckon its a harley benton beat bass with the headstock reshaped, an ebay fake decal applied & teacup knobs added. Putting it in a hofner case is a nice touch. vinorange
What’s up with the decal? Looks perfectly applied to me!😁😁
yorks5stringer
Jeez, at £310 sold someone is going to be disappointed, even the tuners look cheap. An enterprising sale.....
Jean-Luc Pickguard
This is a definite case of ripoffery. The hofner case was there to reinforce the lie that it was a hofner. The person who bought it could have done a bit of due dillegence and compared the headstock shape with a real one, but you can't blame someone for not knowing what they don't know. I did report this as a counterfeit instrument as it has a fake logo which it shouldn't be sold with, but as usually happens, ebay seemingly chose not to do the research to confirm what I told them - which could be done in less than a minute on google. 1

That matches my experience precisely. They do not care in the slightest and are so big that no one will be able to dent their profits. I have lost count of the fakes I have reported that they ignore. Even when it’s a clearly illegal sale, e.g. pile of rust and a V5, or ringing kit as it should be known, they don’t care (although in that case the DVLA certainly do). Jean-Luc Pickguard
If you view the bids on the listing you will see that the buyer paid an additional £70 for expedited delivery to the USA. Ouch! No way to give the buyer a heads-up though: private listing - bidder identity protected
Bassassin
AliExpress tat. Nothing like as nicely done as the HB.

Nah Reminds me of the time I worked on the set of Baywatch and I used to refer to David Hasslehof as 'Hof'. He heard this and said 'Just call me Dave' to which I replied" Sorry, no can do, it's too much hassle'
