I went hunting for Aja on the web to look at the musician line-up but noticed that the first entry was a Wiki entry which tagged the album as being 'Yacht Rock'! WTF??

Ah, Gaucho  .. another stunner of an album.  Becker is such a cracking musician. He's on bass duties here on Hey 19.

There’s an isolated track somewhere on YouTube of Hugh McCracken’s guitar part on Hey Nineteen. It is a a subtle and sublime example of guitar playing. What a beautiful record Gaucho is, my lords.

As a younger, angrier man, I detested Steely Dan, but I've mellowed somewhat and come to really appreciate their talent and songwriting, some monster playing throughout their career. 

 

Very cool to hear the variations on well know tunes.
