waynepunkdude Posted April 10, 2009 Posted April 10, 2009 As some of you may know I have just moved house and have some how convinced the other half to let me have a bass room. I only moved in yesterday so it is in a bit of a state but I thought I should post a few pics as a starter. Quote
PURPOLARIS Posted April 10, 2009 Posted April 10, 2009 That 6 string Bass you've got there looks awfully small compared to the others Quote
OutToPlayJazz Posted April 10, 2009 Posted April 10, 2009 Nice room, Wayne Where's the trombone hiding? Quote
lozbass Posted April 10, 2009 Posted April 10, 2009 (edited) Excellent - you have a very understanding partner! Every room in my house - bar one - is a bass room (a situation that is remarked upon frequently by my partner...but she doesn't mind - wow!) Edited April 10, 2009 by lozbass Quote

SteveO Posted April 10, 2009 Posted April 10, 2009 (edited)
That 6 string Bass you've got there looks awfully small compared to the others
I was wondering about that. what kind of scale is it 22"? can't see you getting a nice fat tone from that! . Anyway, nice one. Everyone should have a dedicated space where you don't have to tidy away so you can so less important stuff like eating, watching TV, sleeping etc. (To be fair though, i'd describe it as more of a 'bass cupboard' than room, but it's your cupboard, and that's the main thing ) Edit: You learning the bone then wayne? cool. I just hope we don't loose you to the British Trombone Society forum. (Saying that, there's no chance coz it's dull, dull, dull over there ) One tip though, practice with the whole instrument. Without the rest of it you don't get the back-pressure and resonance. It's like playing bass unplugged. No, it's more like practicing on the fretboard without strings. Good luck with it. Machines Posted April 11, 2009 Posted April 11, 2009 Nice one - I got a bass room too ! It's great to have a proper space to make a mess in . Quote
EBS_freak Posted April 11, 2009 Posted April 11, 2009 Nice. Bass rooms for escaping reality are much underrated. Every bass player should have one. With an 8x10 Quote
