Is there scope for coil serial/parallel shenanigans? It would be a cool platform to really mod the crap out of. They’re remarkably similar. Its a selector between all combinations of pickups. merello Posted March 18, 2022 Posted March 18, 2022 Hadn't realised how gray it was...thought it was black. Looks absolutely fabulous! 1 Quote

Yeah - like a Matt/stealth so can look very grey or black as night. Still need to tweak the nut - Can’t find the nut files. In all honesty, it’s a winner with this neck - but the setting I really like on it is something the Bongo does and I have a sentimental link to that bass…in all likelihood this will go up for sale. J & the pickups are nothing like the "Bill Lawrence" Custom Designed Roscoe Beck Bass One's.... the M. P. J was manufactured in China' all of it & it has a Modern Scooped Tone... In fact that's its Let Down'... Aside from being a Heavy instrument. Quote
AndyTravis Posted May 19, 2022 Author Posted May 19, 2022 The pickups “look” like rb pickups. Think that’s what was alluded to. Quote
Paul C Posted May 19, 2022 Posted May 19, 2022 This bass ended up with me after a recent trade. Great bass. Sounds nice with a pick in humbucker mode. Good rescue job. 👍 1 Quote
