Can you create an empty song with nothing in it. Has the memory usage increased massively? Then add the sorts of tracks you would normally one at a time and see if there is a point at which the memory usage suddenly shoots right up. I tried making a dummy track.... and following the results in memory usage: Seems like amplitube is causing big jumps. And it goes down again after a break - does that make any sense? It's whe nthe total memory usage goes into the high 80's that I get audio issues. And even the nthe DAW is only using max 3GB. I might get some more RAM , but still seems like the PC is wasting a load of RAM. On Edit: Just thought.... I didn't have Amplitube on the old PC. Nail Soup
Started using Edge (to log onto Basschat) and now the usage is up to 80% with the old Windows manager issue: Studio one is still open, same song. But only 120BM. Even playing the song takes it up to 221MB. Strange.
Nail Soup
Just restarted the PC..... back to 89% usage... before I'd opened Edge or the DAW or any app.

Maybe check this. https://www.thewindowsclub.com/desktop-window-manager-dwm-exe It should be quite low really. This is mine.
