I think that Fender basses look unattractive.  Too big, both body and headstock.

I try to convince myself that I just really don't like the sound of rounds and love flats but in reality I don't like the sound my fingers make on them due to terrible technique!

Myself and three friends were once “recognised” at a large venue gig in London by a couple of guys, quite soon a large crowd had gathered for autographs on their programmes. 
I’m still not sure what band they thought we were from but I signed someone else’s name for a goodly while before we managed to escape…

My most expensive bass is a stingray. I love the sound but I really don't enjoy playing it. It's really heavy and access to the higher frets ain't great. it just doesn't sit right.

Me too, but strangely i do like some Jazz basses.

 

I think that the 4+1 headstock style on Fender 5 stringers is the epitome of ugly as its so unbalanced.

My current collection is so pleasing I am disappointed I won't want to sell any of them to buy something else I don't need.

I do however have guitar GAS quite a bit right now!

Despite being the least OCD person I know, stingrays just bug me. The toilet hole centre with the curved control plate is an abomination. Every curve on the thing is a different radius.

I bought one as my previous P bass copy was stolen. All I can say is what a piece of stinky poo the Marlin was. I eventually saved up enough to buy a new Charvel when they first came out. I had actually forgotten that I had owned one untill now. Thanks for bringing back my nightmare!

It took me a looooong time to work out that 'pups' was short for pick-ups.
