I seem to remember it being explained more recently in more depth but can't remember who by, may have been Alex or BFM. Essentially embelished on that post in that the class of the power amp isn't particularly significant.
Bruce Girdler
I have the 210 combo and it gets plenty loud and has punch in the lower notes that most class d combo's lack.I like it a lot

I am thinking about getting the Katana Bass later in the year but a noisy fan would be a deal breaker.
Lowend soldier
Im a fan of the 6 string stuff. Not for me tho. The amp sounds like a bad 90,s korg pedal in person imo. They should have taken the route of the 2nd amp, Nextone where it concentrated the focus on emulating 2 or 3 different tube types and configs instead a catalogue of unusable effects. For me more than anything it seems tuned the same as their guitar speakers, sounds similar if you plug a bass into a a 2 x10 katana. lacked the rounded low end. adamlunt
Having tried both models, I think they’re both quite special. The 210 for me feels and sounds amazing, and is genuinely a single amp solution for home practice, recording and live playing. Get hands-on with them if you can. 👌
Harlequin74
Recently picked one up at GAK for £425. massive value for money, and it sounds very good. handles rehearsals and gigs without blinking, no extra cab needed. but….. prefer using my trolley when carting it about…… at this price its worth a punt.
Hellzero
Bought one too (Katana 110) a few weeks ago, and must confess that it's better sounding than my AER's... and way lighter. It has all I will ever need a d is powerful enough for what I do and play.
hookys6stringbass
I've just picked up a 210 Katana, really impressed with it so far... its soooo tweakable. Brilliant bit of kit.. I may have to find a trolley to take it gigs with though as its a little heavy....
Russ
For anyone who has one, can you check and see if the power supply is hardwired for 240V, or if it's a universal 110V-240V one? I've flicked through the manual and I don't see any mention of it. This might affect my decision to purchase one because... reasons.

Tankdave
Thinking of a 210 for use at home but one thing I have never seen mentioned, is the cab is ported or not Anyone taken the grill off?
Greg Edwards69
To anyone who has the 110, how flat is the flat mode (as flat as a typical frfr speaker) and can it hang with a drummer and a couple of guitarists in a rehearsal room without assistance?
