Jean-Luc Pickguard
didn't 'bass collection' basses have headstocks like that?
Shockwave
From the headstock, looks like a Bass Collection bass.

RhysP
Bass collection or possibly a Tune Bass Maniac (which the bass collection basses were modelled after).

Paul_C
or even a Maison, which was a "Squier/Epiphone" Bass Collection-a-like, as far as I recall (I had an orange one)
TheRev
I don't think it's a Bass Collection - they don't have position markers on the fretboard. I reckon it's a Tune of some sort.

Zoe_BillySheehan
and is it just me..or does it look like the headstock might not be rounded at the top? maybe just the light reflecting off it if a funny way... Z x

thisnameistaken
Definitely a Tune or a Bass Collection. I'm sure I've seen Bass Collection basses with dot markers in the past, they flooded the budget market in the early '90s back when I gave a sh*t about basses, I've seen a lot of them. Did Ibanez build them? They always reminded me of Ibanez basses. Bass Collection seems more likely, given the number of them in circulation over here compared to Tune basses. Russ
It's a Maison. Basically a low-rent version of a Bass Collection. The headstock on the Maison is a little squarer and pointier than the BC or Tune ones, but the main identifying mark (the logo on the upper bout) appears to be covered over with gaffa tape. I've played a couple. Horrible, horrible things.
LukeFRC
dont think so russ, the headstock on the maison looks wider and the upper horn fatter. i think it looks a lot like this http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=44886&hl=bass+collection ://http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?sho...ass+collection

EdwardHimself
It could well be one of those shine basses that seem to go down a treat on ebay. As you can see, many of the identifying markers are the same, such as the headstock shape and the fretboard. I seem to remember the nut being of a similar crudeness from when i actually owned the thing. Edited April 11, 2009 by EdwardHimself
molan
I'm not sure it's a Tune. The tuner spacing on Tune Bass Maniac looks different to me A&D tuners very close & almost horizontally aligned: Edited April 11, 2009 by molan
