Grewster
So here’s a question …. I’m thinking of going BEAD on my Hofner contemporary club bass. I know there might be some drilling/nut widening required ….. kinda made the decision, rarely use that pesky G anyways. Anyone know of any light 5 sets?? Can’t find any on the interweb …. does such a thing even exist???
mr4stringz
Assuming it’s rounds you want, I’d suggest ordering a custom set from Newtone strings. You’ll also end up with the 4 strings in the set that you need, rather than an unneeded G as well. Yeah, will certainly add an additional complication in there! Best of luck though!

Matt P
LaBella also make 5 string short scale flats, one thing to check is what string length you actually want as the LaBella ones don't have much extra length ( i have them fitted to my short scale 5 string) Matt
