However I have loaded a couple of 'pre-EMGs' pics for your delectation. When finished it will be a Limelight Lee Sklar bass although as I don't know any famous recording artistes gathering sigs may take some time Here you go with a couple of pics of the original first: My L/L version awaiting some ink... NOW that's what I call a SIGNATURE Bass. Congratulations on such an innovative idea for a fantastic bass. 1 Quote

MacDaddy Posted April 6, 2022 Posted April 6, 2022 What's the bit between the pups? I though it might be a ramp but it seems to be sitting flush? Quote

It's where the batteries live/where the original P rout would have been on the original. @6:35 Edited April 6, 2022 by ezbass 1 Quote
Joe Nation Posted April 6, 2022 Posted April 6, 2022 Question is, do you have the beard to match? 1 1 Quote
ead Posted April 6, 2022 Author Posted April 6, 2022 I have a pretty tame moustache, but not a chance in the beard dept. Same hair colour though Quote
ead Posted June 8, 2022 Author Posted June 8, 2022 Started to accumulate some sigs and comments etc. A couple of BC members already captured. 9 Quote

ead Posted June 9, 2022 Author Posted June 9, 2022 Not always @LukeFRC, I'd say my favorite setting is neck pickup on full throttle and the other backed off about 10%, plus the tone backed off by about 25%. It also works nicely the other way around. 1 Quote
EMG456 Posted June 13, 2022 Posted June 13, 2022 Have you brought it to his attention? I think he might be quite tickled to hear about it. Quote

bloke_zero Posted September 14, 2022 Posted September 14, 2022 Lovely project - I've looked at doing something similar but not in such detail. I'm sure Leland would love to know about it. I wonder how hard it is to get those old EMG's?! 1 Quote

Grahambythesea Posted September 15, 2022 Posted September 15, 2022 I think it’s interesting that despite the world and it’s sound engineer going on about the P having the pickup in the perfect sweet spot, the world’s most recorded bass has the pickup moved forward closer to the neck. 2 Quote
Mike Posted September 15, 2022 Posted September 15, 2022 This is epic! Would love to hear it sometime. Such a great idea! I would be interested in a LS sig bass for sure. 1 Quote
