Recommend me a single Cab ( £300 - £400 )

Looking for an additional bass cab to use for band rehearsals 

 

I currently have the excellent Ampeg SVT212AV cab which I use with my ABM600 head ( huge sound )

 

Ideally want a good loud but cheap cab as a backup or use at rehearsals etc but to use on its own

 

Ideally a single cab and weight isn’t a major issue but nothing more than a 410 cab etc 

I play loud heavy rock to pop rock so it needs to be punchy and loud 

 

Are the RM410 Ashdown cabs loud ? 
They are lighter than some I believe 

 

Looking at a budget of circa £300 to £400 ideally

There's a Genz 4x10 in the classifieds for little money. No affiliation with the seller but recently bought 2 of these from @Gareth Hughes of this parish. I've yet to use mine in anger so maybe you can comment G?

I would buy it if there was a way of getting it to Suffolk !

However on reflection I think I will park my plans for now

I had the RM414 (the 4ohm 410) was plenty loud, and much lighter weight, around 50lbs thereabouts, would be ideal for the requirements.

For what you`re looking at using the cab for I`d be tempted by these

What about he VK210 LNT in the For Sale section. A bit over budget but a fantastic punchy loud cab.

Absolutely recommend the Genz Benz Focus 410. Used a single one for years as my main cab - did every conceivable gig with it. Only doubled up for a few tours with Simon McBride, an insanely loud guitar shredder gig.

As the OP and also the owner of a great single cab Ampeg SVT212AV I don’t think I will continue looking and be happy to use the one cab for rehearsals and gigs
