dub_junkie
Bought this Sledge Sabre today which I’m going to alternate with my sunburst/maple Classic Sabre for upcoming band work. I’m thinking of a neck swap too and going sunburst with rosewood and maple with grey. Leaning towards that but will give it a few days playing them as they are first before deciding. Eldon Tyrell
So glad to see your two Sabres together 🤩 Yes, would be nice to see the neck swap. I think it could work really well (sunburst and rosewood is the classic combination and the Sledge was also available with a maple fingerboard). BTW, cool photo of the Sledge (photo 2), really shows all the different colours of the finish. Enjoy 👍
Bunion
I love a good neck swap but do take heed of a cautionary tale of lost time 😂🤣 I’m an rather pleased with the results though as I’m sure you will be 🍻
ezbass
I think a neck swap would be aesthetically very pleasing. Nice pair you have there (stop sniggering at back).
dub_junkie
I couldn’t wait so swapped them last night and set them up so they’re both playing just how I like them. Overall I’m much happier with the look of both, just need a tort plate for the sunburst now.
Eldon Tyrell
Nice one. I think this combination looks indeed better. I would get a clear pickguard for the Sledge to really showcase the stunning finish!
