sgh Posted April 9, 2022 Posted April 9, 2022 Currently have a EBS HD350 but would like a Dual channel option rack mounted solution with similar sound capabilities, I'm not interested in Drive so am looking for Dual clean channels. Any ideas? 1 Quote
Gwilym Posted April 9, 2022 Posted April 9, 2022 Keeping it EBS and rack mount, find an old EBS Classic rack mount preamp (one of these:https://reverb.com/uk/item/46037993-ebs-ebs-1-bass-preamp-classic) and feed it into the FX return of your 350, and use a pedal to switch between the head and the pre. 1 Quote

Good shout, Thanks. Anyone else have any alternatives? Not rack mounted but I have also wondered about the EBS Microsbass 3. Quote
Gwilym Posted April 12, 2022 Posted April 12, 2022 Well, i would have said try the microbass 2 or 3 in the same way as I suggested the rack mount pre. Then you'd have 3 channels including a drive channel. But you said you only wanted rack and no drive. 😁 1 Quote
EBS_freak Posted April 12, 2022 Posted April 12, 2022 If you aren't looking at drive, the Stanley Clarke Pre could be a more interesting route to take. I always find myself more drawn to that than the MB3 tbh. 2 Quote

EBS_freak Posted April 12, 2022 Posted April 12, 2022 Seems to work nice with electric basses too. 1 1 Quote
