GreeneKing Posted April 12, 2009 Posted April 12, 2009 We seriously need some pictures here. Not that I can afford £10k but I think the SC Alembic's are one of the nicest looking basses out there. Unless you want to swap for two rather special Rics that is

blunderthumbs Posted April 13, 2009 Posted April 13, 2009
You aren't going to sell a 10k bass without pics.
I doubt anyone has a spare £10.000 in their purses in the present climate If they have I don't think it would be spent on a bass guitar pics or no pics.

molan Posted June 8, 2009 Posted June 8, 2009 (edited) Is a Stanley Clarke significantly more expensive than a Mark King signature deluxe? Just asking as £6,500 is a fair bit more than the MK's are new so I wondered what the extra cost was spent on as I know the MK's are pretty nicely finished off Edited June 8, 2009 by molan
MB1 Posted June 8, 2009 Posted June 8, 2009 MB1. ....Is this the same one thats been offered on Ebay without any Pictures? BUMP!
leschirons Posted June 8, 2009 Posted June 8, 2009 (edited) I'm assuming that everyone that buys a Stanley Clarke sig, doesn't have any money left to buy a sodding camera. Edited June 8, 2009 by leschirons

BUMP!
I emailed that guy asking for photos. I had a very badly worded reply telling me how pleased for life I would be if I bought the SC from him. But all went quiet when I asked him if I could try it and pay cash on collection. I just hope no one actually fell for it.

He went very quiet after that & EBay removed the listing soon afterwards! Anyway - just to show that I'm not trying to hijack this thread - I'm pretty sure this isn't the same person listing and that this is a genuine 'for sale' ad for what I'm sure is a very nice bass. Just one without any pics yet

lozbass Posted June 10, 2009 Posted June 10, 2009 I think the seller on here (carlbass) is legitimate - I spoke to him (by 'phone) re: the SC and he was willing to bring the bass over for me to try. We had a long and friendly conversation and he certainly knew what he was talking about. I didn't proceed as the price was too high for me.
MB1 Posted June 10, 2009 Posted June 10, 2009 (edited) MB1. ....So You havent seen the bass either Lawrence?....without pictures your pissing in the wind at that price! BUMP! Edited June 10, 2009 by MB1
wombatboter Posted June 10, 2009 Posted June 10, 2009 I had some emails from him because he was interested in buying a Wal-bass. Unfortunately he aspired an absolutely mint bass without a Hipshot-D tuner so the transaction didn't go through. I remember that he was a plumber in his forties.
