Are scale conversion necks a thing for basses?

I'm aware that Wamoth and others make guitar scale conversion necks, but does anyone make bass ones?

 

Just curious really as I have a P bass that I was thinking about doing a neck swap on, to put a jazz neck on it, and then it just occurred to me that a shorter scale might be nice too.

 

Any ideas?

the only thing I've seen that comes even close to this is the guitar to short-scale bass conversion necks by Retovibe. But these are for converting strats and teles etc to shortscale basses, not for long scale to short scale bass.

One of the retrovibe necks might fit - the heel width is 56mm, I've no idea how wide the pocket is on a P body though.

I like your thinking on this, perhaps it’s something Andy or Jabba could look into or even Chowney as they’ve gone into UK manufacturing.
