New 12 inch speaker needed for Gallien Krueger Neo 412

Hey - I've blown one of the speakers in my 4x12 - sounds farty and the others are fine. Any ideas how to get a new one? The GK distributors Polar seem to be out of stock. Cheers. Simon

Have you gone through the wiring? If you're lucky it's just a connection gone dodgy.

 

I'd be looking at swoping the wiring between the farty speaker and a good one and see if the farting moves with the wiring.

Checked speakers and the dodgy sounding speaker is not torn but feels like the coil has broken. When you push the cone in there is resistance and friction but the other speakers are smooth. Any ideas for a replacement speaker or is it repairable?

Wembley Loudspeakers should be able to repair it.

Likely to be cheaper than a replacement from HK, if you can even get one, and better than putting a different speaker in.

Careful though, they can use generic cone replacement kits if the original part is hard to get or unavailable. The recone might not be close enough to be an exact replacement, but they should advise if that is the case.
