Hi there, i’ve got my 1962 hofner 182 and am not getting as much neck pickup volume as i’d hoped, I’ve checked and there is nothing wrong with the pickups output itself so raising it seems to be my only option. One issue with that, there is no clear way to do so as shown in the images. Any ideas?

I pretty sure the neck pickup on the 182 is fixed. From memory it's surface mounted and the pickguard layed over the top.

You could just raise your pole pieces to see if you get a stronger signal.

Hofner staple pickups are generally pretty hot. Even at that distance from the strings you should be getting good output. Pic of my 185 below which had a similar pup/string distance and that was fine. How did you check that your pickup output was OK?
