drTStingray
As if the Joe Dart announcement wasn’t amazing enough - this sounds fabulous as well (this guitarist sure is funky on bass!!) NJE
Cory is a wicked bass player, I believe that was his first instrument before he took up guitar
yorks5stringer
Cory Wong is putting out some great content on Youtube, wonder who's paying cos the production is spot on with big sets and lots of humour? Sonny T his Bassist is something else too, he plays a l/h Dolphin with the strings the w(r)ong way around, basically upside down. fretmeister
I love Sonny T, but I do think of him as Prince’s bassist rather than CW’s! The OP song was co-written by Rob Harris of Jamiroquai. It’s a cracker.

I didn’t realise that - Rob Harries is an excellent guitarist. That’s such a catchy song and the groove is excellent.

drTStingray
I dunno - I think it sounds like great modern funk to me, with a nod back to the late 70s and also 90s. Superb groove. Love the way the arrangement has just bass and drums playing on the verses after the horn interludes - then the guitar and keyboard chords on the pre chorus building to the chorus with the whole lot plus the vocoder stuff. I think it’s really cool - love the sounds of the Stingray - v fat. I was listening to some stuff I’d played on earlier using my Classic Stingray and it sounds similar - it had roundwounds fitted in those days - it’s now sporting TI flats.
