Smiles
Hi Folks I’m wanting to change my rig to a one cab set up I love the Ampeg tone and was thinking of the Heritage 410hlf can they get loud without farting out ? I play in a 9 piece Ska band and there’s always a lot of sound on stage and normally pretty loud I would probably make a plinth to raise it up a bit to hopefully improve hearing it really appreciate any comments stu
Lozz196
I used one on a tour, in a punk/Oi band, as did all the other similar bands on the tour, sounded great and didn’t have to push my amp at all, irrespective of stage size (and we didnt like bass in the monitors so the cab covered the whole of the stage sound). Bolo
It's no Peavey tvx but it's all right. A stupid weight to lug around though and too low to schlep comfortably. I'd sooner get an
Smiles
Thanks Lozz and Bolo appreciate your thoughts all useful info Bolo I had an 810 back in the early nineties with the svt all tube 350 head lovely sound but lugging those two bits around was a real hassle I often consider the svt 610 but I’ve not played through one of those best regards stu
casapete
I’ve borrowed one and liked the sound - plenty of bottom end and went as loud as I needed, keeping up with a noisy band. Would have considered getting one for myself but crazy heavy, and the tilt back design ( as per the Ampeg 610 and 810 really) wasn’t ideal for me. Bolo
Just gigged one last night as the venue provided it. There's naught wrong with the power or the sound. Both my Engl amp and the following band's Gallien & Krueger sounded full but tight. It's really down to the hassle of moving it around. I preferred putting it on a dolly to using the tilt wheels and handle bar, which sits too low.
