Gwilym
Hi all, This might be a general issue not related to 3Leaf pedals specifically, but I'm having issues with the footswitch on both my Proton v1.5 and Groove Regulator pedals. I assume it's the switch as sometimes the pedals engage, sometimes they don't. When they do engage, they work fine. Would these pedals be using a standard footswitch that can be repaired and/or replaced with no bother? How would one clean the switch in case it's just an accumulation of dirt causing the problem? Thanks!
lee650
My GR2 has no issues whatsoever! The older 3 leaf units seem to have a standard footswitch and not the silent relay switching he employed later. As you say it may just be dirt or a loose connection, especially if they are used a lot. Edited April 28, 2022 by lee650
Bigwan
It's a general footswitches issue, not particular to 3leaf. Both those pedals are "of an age". They'll be standard footswitches, easily replaced or even upgraded with something higher quality (like the current Gorva switches which look excellent). 1

What about cleaning options, is there a simple way to try to clean the switches?

It can be done, but I'd go with replacement myself. 1
Kev
I had 3 relay switches on different 3 Leaf pedal builds fail all within 12 months of one another, although on all occasions there was a loud pop whenever bypassing. Get it to a tech, hopefully won't be too difficult to swap them out.

I recently had an iron Ether pedal fixed by Owen electronics in Manchester. Great service and a top job,not mega money either. Probably worth repairing, especially as they a currently sought after pedals. 1
