Bassfinger
Im mid way through a Precision bass build with a mudbucker...because I can. Casting my brain forward to the wiring stage I was wondering if I should wire both coils in series as one big fat single coil, or jn parallel as to separate coils. If I went for the latter I can make them switchable so I could run one alone or both together. So series or parallel? Thoughts?
Doctor J
Why choose? Use a push/pull pot and switch between both.
Bassfinger
Ok, cheers for the input. I've mulled this for a while and I've ordered a suitable mini toggle from Warman so I can go both coils in series, both in parallel, or single coil. I've tried both in series for now and it sounds amazing, the sonic equivalent of being mugged, but it doesn't hurt to have a few more colours in the palette.
