odub Posted August 21, 2007 Posted August 21, 2007 (edited) Sorry the picture is poor, doesn't do anything any justice, and I'm a part-time photographer! Edited August 21, 2007 by odub Quote
OutToPlayJazz Posted August 22, 2007 Posted August 22, 2007 I think Dub_Junkie has one of these in a lovely cherry burst. Fantastic looking bass. If it plays anything like the solid one I played a few weeks ago, I'll bet it's a stunner! Quote
odub Posted August 22, 2007 Author Posted August 22, 2007 Who says white and gold is tacky ey. Apparently, this is the only one of its kind in this colour scheme, it was made for Jerry Donahue of the Hellecasters along with a sister model in black. Quote
wotnwhy Posted August 22, 2007 Posted August 22, 2007 (edited) white, maple, binding, gold, humbuckers, semi-hollow. there's not 1 part of that bass i don't love. but together? WOW! Edited August 22, 2007 by wotnwhy Quote
paul, the Posted August 22, 2007 Posted August 22, 2007 As an 18, virile male; these pictures are too much...tooo much. Quote
Something Posted August 22, 2007 Posted August 22, 2007 Aaaargh ! Took my breath away... Very beautiful bass and sure good sounding cos one of my favorite bassist plays one of them (Cass Lewis from Skunk Anansie...). Quote
Lfalex v1.1 Posted August 23, 2007 Posted August 23, 2007 This hasn't helped my ASAT GAS at all, you know... I really fancy a solid one, mind you. I should've bought the last one I played. It was excellent. Still wouldn't mind a comparison with a Warwick $$ though. Quote

If you get hold of one, bring it round by all means and compare it to my $$ Quote

dub_junkie Posted August 23, 2007 Posted August 23, 2007 lush ASAT one of the (if not the) best looking I've yet clapped eyes on. DJ Quote
G-bitch Posted August 23, 2007 Posted August 23, 2007 Don't like the gold but that's still pretty pimpin' - and the fact that it's a one off is a major bonus. Quote
d-basser Posted August 26, 2007 Posted August 26, 2007 holy sh*t sweet bejebus, that is luverly Quote
alchemy Posted September 6, 2007 Posted September 6, 2007 KILLER! That's a breath-taking beauty... I love bindings and gold-on-white finishes! You're a lucky guy Quote
EskimoBassist Posted November 30, 2007 Posted November 30, 2007 That MESA amp is beautiful! I used one in the studio and it had such a beautiful sound, good choice! Quote
stingrayfan Posted November 30, 2007 Posted November 30, 2007 Blimey - it's "pimp my bass". Sure it sounds mighty fine though, being a G&L. Actually how does it compare with the L2000s? Pickups and EQ look the same, so I guess you get that Stingray type growl, but how does the cutout affect it? I've got a bad GAS problem with G&Ls at the mo... A week after getting the natural L2000 Tribute, I've just pulled the trigger on a US L1500. <thinks> Must stop now... Quote
