SamIAm
I've seen some headless tuners on Amazon, I'm interested to find out any experience (good/bad) that you may have had with them. They are branded as Alincov, but I cannot find any significant references on google. They both appear to use a ball head recess in the tuner with a hex screw fixing on the headstock. Downunderwonder
I am no expert but that looks like some proper Grade A junk to me. Never mind the bazillion cheesy little parts. How do you even bring it up to tension?
tauzero
I imagine that the brass section with the recess for the string ball end has an external thread and the knurled knob has an internal thread. It would need stringing up by putting the ballend in the brass bit and unscrewing the knob as far as it goes, then threading the other end of the string through the unheadstock clamp, pulling it tight, and clamping it, then screwing the knob in to tension the string - the brass insert looks like it has a hex cross-section so won't rotate (much). Looks as if it would sort of work, but destringing and restringing with the same strings might not work too well.

PaulThePlug
S'manfa!.. They look like the ones Bassassasinassasin is using on his 'Guilotine-n-backer' - might help...
Bassassin
They're similar to the ones I have, but not identical. The individual units look significantly smaller and more like these guitar-sized ones, which are all over Ebay: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/225011987719 Not identical but pretty close, the diminutive size means that you have to intonate these by moving the entire unit. Mine have conventional saddles mounted inside the units. Here's the Ebay ad I got mine from: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/203735338271

itu
I am machining parts to a headless 5 from aluminium (6082) and steel. The ideas are stolen from Status and some US parts. Pictures maybe later, if the whole set will become reality. Several parts are waiting for anodizing (external company).
