yeah - Rainbow.  Not there any more, but used to be opposite the George Robey...which isn't there any more either...Finsbury Park would be more helpful

Thanks all, I've been to the Rainbow many moons ago too...but that explains why it did not come up on a search of current venues.

Is 'prismic' actually a word? Shirley, that should be "prismatic"?

It's still there, just occupied by a Brazilian Evangelical Church (or it was last time I was in Finsbury Park). To be fair they did a good job of refurbishment on the interior by all accounts.

Late 18th century. From prism + -ic. Compare earlier prismed, prismatic, prismatical.
